Frequently asked questions
Is it really free for programs?
Yes. Programs post gigs for free, always. There are no listing fees, no commissions, and no per-gig charges. Ever.
Can high school and professional programs use BoothFill?
Yes. BoothFill serves three tiers — Scholastic, Collegiate, and Professional. High school athletic directors select Scholastic during signup; minor-league, independent, and semi-pro teams select Professional. All three tiers get the same access as college programs — free gig posting, free broadcaster directory browsing, and no commission on payments, ever.
Does BoothFill take a commission?
No. We never take a cut of what programs pay broadcasters. Broadcasters pay $15/month after a free first month. You can cancel anytime. That subscription is our only revenue.
How are broadcasters vetted?
When a broadcaster completes their profile, it's marked Pending Review. AI pre-screens the profile and generates a vetting summary flagging missing reels, generic bios, or incomplete sections. An admin reviews that summary and makes the final verification decision. Only verified broadcasters appear in the public directory.
What sports are covered?
Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Soccer, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Wrestling, Swimming, Track and Field, Cross Country, Golf, Tennis, and Other.
What divisions and levels are eligible?
BoothFill is built for athletic departments and teams outside the Power 5 — from mid-major D1 down to D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO (Collegiate), all high school divisions (Scholastic), and minor-league, independent, indoor, and semi-pro teams (Professional). All three tiers can post gigs for free.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Broadcasters can cancel anytime from Account Settings. Cancellation stops future billing. Access to applying to gigs ends when your current billing period lapses.
What happens if a broadcaster cancels last minute?
If a broadcaster backs out, the program can repost the gig publicly or reach out to another broadcaster on their Trusted Talent list for a direct booking. Programs control their roster and can rebook trusted broadcasters with one click.
How do gig alerts work?
When a gig is posted, verified broadcasters whose states match the gig get an in-app and email alert. Broadcasters can fine-tune alerts by sport, state, and program tier in Account Settings.
Is there really a free first month for broadcasters?
Yes. Every new broadcaster starts with a free first month — full access to apply to gigs. After the first month, it's a flat $15/month. You can cancel anytime.
How does the referral program work?
Every broadcaster gets a unique referral link. When a school signs up using your link and posts its first gig, the referral goes to admin review. Once approved, you earn 30 free subscription days. Fraud checks (IP, device, and email screening) keep the program fair.
How does the free trial work?
Your first month is free starting at signup — full access to browse and apply to gigs. After the first month, it's $15/month. You can cancel anytime. If no matching gig appears within 60 days of signup, we extend your free period automatically and flag your account for a personal check-in — you're never billed for a platform that hasn't delivered an opportunity.
What is a Season Package?
A Season Package is a booking that covers multiple games across a season rather than a single game. Programs can post one alongside any single-game gig. Either party can cancel, but at least 14 days' notice before the next scheduled game is required to cancel without penalty. If a program cancels with less notice, they owe pro-rated pay for completed games plus a fee equal to two games' pay. If a broadcaster cancels with less notice, it counts as a cancellation strike. These terms are presented and acknowledged at application and confirmation.
Can I get gig alerts by text message?
Yes. Broadcasters with a phone number on file can receive SMS gig alerts via our texting provider, SimpleTexting. We send at most 3 texts per day and never between 10pm and 7am in your local time zone. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe — we track opt-outs and never text you again. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can fine-tune or disable text alerts anytime in Account Settings.
